When Jesus says, “Follow me,” there are any number of ways that He could have finished that sentence, “Come follow me and... I will make you wise. Come follow me and I will make you spiritually mature. But, Jesus says, “Come follow me and I will make you Fishers of Men.” This is Christ’s goal, to turn us into Fishers of People. This, if you like, is Jesus’ definition of spiritual maturity.
But, what does it mean to be “Fishers of People?
